As I take the leadership role of the Schools Division of Guimaras, I would like to express my profound gratitude to all the members of the team, from the SDO down to the schools, and to the Local Government officials of the entire Province of Guimaras and education partners, for their warm welcome and support to me.

I commend the dedication and enthusiasm of our education leaders in sustaining the culture of excellence and dynamism to uplift the quality of basic education in all our schools and learning centers, fostered through deep sense of commitment and passion for quality service to our clients, especially the learners.

As we continue to embark on a journey together facing the realities and challenges posed to us by the ever-changing needs and demands of our stakeholders, let us continue to develop and nurture unity, collaboration and teamwork among each other in addressing most pressing issues and concerns which pertain to improving academic performance, literacy and numeracy, and welfare of our learners and teachers.

Guided by the vision, mission and core values of the Department, we must uplift our children’s future, by adhering to our mandate on quality education and producing locally and globally competitive graduates of the Kto12 Program. Through the innovative and data-driven strategies, anchored on the Five-Point Agenda of the Secretary of the Department of Education, the Region VI Mantra of making every learner a champion, and the Division Education Development Plan, let us execute with utmost integrity, competence and diligence, our duties and responsibilities with the unwavering support from our generous stakeholders and benefactors in the DepEd.

Finally, I encourage everyone to experience the joy of working for the children and youths of Guimaras. Working with each other will inspire us to give our best for the betterment of every learning institution under our care. Let us make the most of our resources, time and efforts in making into concrete actions our SDO tagline: Panguna Guimaras! Panguna sa Kinaalam, Kinaadman, kag maayong Pinamatasan.
